First speakers of European VR/AR Congress 2017 revealed!

Virtual Reality that treats strabismus or helps activate the elders? An answer to the question „What is the role of VR and AR in the process of digital transformation?”. We are revealing the first speakers of European VR/AR Congress.

Maciej Szurek and Piotr Krukowski

Founders of RemmedVR – a company that looks into the development of a novel treatment solution for strabismus. This problem affects up to 5% of children worldwide, and until now was being treated with outdated, stressful and unattractive methods. They will show and speak about specially designed goggles and software that let doctors treat their patients in a friendly, non-invasive and revolutionary way.

Grzegorz Piechota

This University of Oxford and the Harvard Business School researcher analyzes the impact of new technologies on market disruptions across sectors, including media. He will speak about conducted research on digital transformation. Get ready for the explanation of what products should contain in order to change consumer behavior. He will also show how to conquer the market with products and services based on VR and AR technologies.

Marcin Czub

Assistant Professor at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw. He delighted the audience during previous editions of VR Congress, presenting projects combining the field of psychology and medicine with virtual reality. This time he will present research and examples of VR applications in the activation of the elderly. He will explain how VR works in this case and discuss the controversy surrounding the effectiveness of this type of training.

The European VR / AR Congress will take place on November 23-24 at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw. It is the biggest event in Poland dedicated to virtual and the World. Congress participants will have a unique chance to take part in workshops about practical use of VR/AR technology, and – at the Expo section – to see the most interesting productions and test the latest tools.
