Biography

Alina is with a VR research group at University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. Recently, she joined a study about VR with a particular focus on destinations with the aim to find out whether VR yields to higher conversion rates than conventional images. Over a year ago, she and her colleagues started one of the most popular VR in Tourism blogs ( www.virtual-reality-in-tourism.com ). Since then, she is one of the main contributors to the blog, where the most exciting and relevant topics about VR and tourism are discussed. Currently, Alina is working on another research where she is analyzing the potential of user generated 360-degree videos for the promotion of touristic destinations. She is passionate about innovations in the technology world and development of the tourism industry; believes in the power of community to generate mind-blowing results
